Z okazji urodzin Elle Macpherson "The Body" przypominamy nie tylko okładki i sesje zdjęciowe z lat 80.

Patrząc na jej obecne zdjęcia aż trudno uwierzyć, że kończy dziś 50 lat! W latach 90. Elle Macpherson została okrzyknięta przez Vogue jedną z pierwszych supermodelek, tuż obok Naomi Cambpell, Tatjany Patitz i Lindy Evangelisty. Znana jako "The Body" od lat 80. systematycznie rozwijała swoją karierę.
Elle Macpherson pracę modelki rozpoczęła w rodzinnej Australii w 1980 roku. Piękna blondynka o zabójczej figurze rok później podpisała kontrakt z agencją Women w Nowym Jorku. Jej nazwisko w krótkim czasie stało się rozpoznawalne. Zaczęła się pojawiać w kampaniach reklamowych dla takich domów mody jak Azzedine Alaïa, Christian Dior, Escada a także popularnych marek typu Bendon i Biothern.

W latach 90. była główną modelką pokazów Johna Galliano, Valentino, Dior i Thierry'ego Muglera.
Oprócz modelingu Elle ma na swoim koncie kilka ról aktorskich. Wystąpiła w wielu produkcjach kinowych oraz gościnnie w serialu "Przyjaciele". Debiutowała u boku Hugh Granta w 1994 roku w filmie "Syreny". Mogliśmy ją również zobaczyć w jednym z filmów o człowieku nietoperzu – "Batman I Robin". Australijska modelka i aktorka odnalazła się także w roli projektantki bielizny. Jej linia Intimates cieszy się niemałym powodzeniem w Ameryce i Australii.
